Kingsbury Episcopi Parish Archiving Group has evolved from the work of the History Group. Its aims are to actively archive the people, events and buildings of the parish, collecting video and audio recordings, photographs and artefacts; and to make this archive available to all.
Projects include: involving the community in digging Test Pits to search for archaeological remains; surveying the old buildings; constructing parish trails; recording and researching masons marks in the churches; commemorating the people named on the war memorials; recording employment in the parish; holding regular meetings, exhibitions and events; publishing books of the parish; working with local groups to explore the history of the parish and its people; making the archive accessible through social media – Facebook and our website; and more.
